Some churches in Barcelona |
| Here there are several pictures dedicated to the cathedral of the city, which in recent months has been freed from the scaffolding that has covered it for many months and could not see much of its facade. The restoration works are still ongoing. Here there are no photos of the cloister, which should be part of the visit. |
| Quite apart from the center is the monastery of Pedralbes in the upper part of the city, near the ring road. In 1993 a monastery area was ceded to the city to house part of the Thyssen-Bornemisza collection of paintings to this exhibition in 2004 moved to the MNAC (Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya). A small community of Clarisse nuns continues to reside in an adjacent building. |
| Finally individual photos shown here of some other churches in the Catalan capital. For example, the Basilica de la Merced, dedicated to the patron of the diocese of Barcelona, ??who celebrates his feast on 24 septioembre. Also other churches in the districts of Sarria and Ciutat Vella Poblenou: San Vicente de Sarria, St. Mary of the Bonanova (San Gervasio and San Protasio), the parish of Our Lady of Bethlehem and the church of Sant Jaume. |
