The Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar is a Catalan gothic church in Barcelona, located in the district of La Ribera and built between 1329 and 1383. Inside it is a building of three aisles formed by four installments. It seems as if the architect had wanted to give the same sense of space is achieved with a single nave. So quite apart pillar (15 meters) long and even the heights of the three naves (side aisles are 1/8 less than the central one). The result is an open space which excludes the division of European Gothic and favors an idea of a unique space.
